About:

As the daughter of working artists, painting has been a part of my life.

I began seriously pursuing painting the Pacific Ocean while at University of California at Santa Cruz and spent many a blissful afternoon in the artichoke fields focused on the horizon. My subject matter shifted when I moved to the east coast where I got a Masters of Fine Arts in painting at Boston University and then moved to New York City for over a decade. At the end of my time in New York my paintings started to shift back to the landscape and upon moving back to California, I found myself once again heading out to the ocean. The expanse of the horizon always brings me a sense of powerful calmness and I hope to bring this grounding force into my paintings and into the world.
